Side-by-Side power & free conveyors derive their name from the power/load track configuration. The power source is located along side the load track as opposed to directly above the load track.
Side-by-Side power & free conveyors are best suited for loads up to 500 pounds. Loads up to 1000 pounds can be conveyed in some monoplane or low throughput situations.
These conveyor systems require less headroom clearance than Over and Under styles. In many cases this makes it a cost effective solution when upgrading from monorail systems that have process equipment already in place. Side-by-Side conveyors also utilize standard monorail components that are readily available from inventory, reducing the lead time required to bring a system on line.
